AAPI GOTV
Only 49% of eligible Asian American/ Pacific Islander vote in national elections. With 8% of the population, AAPI voters could swing elections! To address this, I wrote and produced a video, with the members of The Writers Brigade, featuring Michelle Kwan, Lou Diamond Phillips, Kelvin Han Yee, AJ Rafael among others that reached 1.4 million viewers. Over two years I wrote, directed and produced twelve videos for Frontier Communications celebrating the workers, customers and values of this large telecom company. I was able to elevate diversity of all kinds, dedication to the job and simple human generosity. Traveling with a HI DEF crew that included my longtime photographer and collaborator David Allen, we loved capturing the physical beauty and qualities of each region and community.
